Privacy policy
The German version of this page is the legally binding one.
1. Controller
tenlogs GmbH Hoppendamm 7 48151 Münster Germany Email: [email protected]
2. General
Here we inform you pursuant to Art. 13 GDPR about the personal data we process when you use this website. We only process what is necessary to provide the website and to answer your enquiries.
3. Visiting the website
When you visit our website, our servers process technical access data: your IP address, date and time, the requested address, the status code, the amount of data transferred, the previously visited page (referrer) and your browser and operating system (user agent). We need it to deliver the website and to run it securely (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is secure and reliable operation). We delete server logs after 14 days at the latest, unless we need them to investigate a security incident. Our servers are located in Germany.
4. Cookies and statistics
This website sets no cookies and neither stores anything on your device nor reads anything from it. This also applies to the network and security service in front of it (Cloudflare): as our service provider it only processes the connection data that is technically necessary (see “Service providers”). We currently use no audience measurement, statistics or advertising services, and no profiling takes place. Should this change, we will update this policy beforehand.
5. Fonts
We deliver all fonts from our own servers. Your browser does not connect to third parties (such as Google Fonts) for them.
6. Contact by email
When you contact us by email, we process your details to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your enquiry aims at a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest is to answer your enquiry). We delete the data once your enquiry has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations (e.g. for business letters under Section 257 of the German Commercial Code, HGB) require longer storage.
For email we use Microsoft 365 from Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited (Ireland), which processes your emails as a processor only on our instructions (Art. 28 GDPR). A transfer to third countries, in particular the USA, cannot be ruled out. The basis is then the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision, Art. 45 GDPR) or the EU standard contractual clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR).
7. Service providers
For hosting (data centres in Germany), for delivering and protecting the website (a network and security service) and for email (see “Contact by email”) we use service providers who process data only on our instructions (processors, Art. 28 GDPR). All requests to this website pass through the network and security service, which processes the access data listed above. This provider is based in the USA or may transfer data there. The basis is then the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision, Art. 45 GDPR) or the EU standard contractual clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR).
8. Encryption
This website transfers all data encrypted (TLS), so third parties cannot read what is transferred between your browser and us.
9. Your rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
10. Right to object
Where we process data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR). We will then no longer process the data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
11. Provision of data and automated decisions
You are not obliged to provide us with data. Without the access data, however, we cannot deliver the website to you. No automated decision-making, including profiling (Art. 22 GDPR), takes place.
12. Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority about the processing of your personal data. The authority responsible for us is:
Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen (LDI NRW) Postfach 20 04 44 40102 Düsseldorf Germany
